It's completely understandable to want to charge a new battery straight out of the package and use it for flying. However, you need to take one extra step. When charging for the first time using the balancing mode (Balancing Charge) on your charger, it's crucial to ensure each cell reaches precisely the same voltage, even if it takes a bit longer. What is the optimal storage temperature for FPV drone batteries?

LiPo batteries are best stored between 15-25°C. Leaving them in a garage in winter or a sunny room in summer can significantly alter chemical reaction rates, leading to cell imbalance.
